Recently, I've seen two plugins for Visual Studio that provide Intellisense for SQL. They both look to work the same, but have different tool support.
- SqlAssist by RoundPolygons: $29 USD per seat. Separate versions for VS2003 & VS2005. Version for SQL Server 2005 Management Studio (replacement for Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer combined) coming soon.
- PrmptSQL by Atadore: $25 USD per seat. Works with VS2003, VS2005, SQL 2005 Management Studio, SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, UltraEdit32, and EditPlus 2.
As an alternative, SQL Buddy is a free stand-alone tool for crafting SQL and editing table data.
Has anyone tried these out? Just perusing the websites, PromptSQL looks more mature even though the website isn't as pretty.
